We bring unique skills and outlook to the construction of custom bicycle frames.

True Custom Sizing: Based on an extensive study of biomechanics and working with people and their bicycles for nearly thirty years, we have developed a highly accurate sizing method. Each bike we build is one of a kind developed from your precise measurements which have been translated into a fullsize, detailed drawing.

Nuovo Retroism: Due to the good fortune of having been cyclists during cycling's classic era, we can help save yesterday's concepts, methods, and components which deserve saving. We can also disregard ideas and merchandise whose only virtue is being old. We have a real sense of history.

A Correct Up-bringing: I learned to build frames from Albert Eisentraut after I was already a competent cyclist, mechanic, and wheelbuilder. I had, and continue to have, regular contact with the best frames of the classic era and today. Our product is better as a result.

We treat each customer as an Individual: While we each have perosnal preferences with regard to virtually all phases of cycling, we don't insist that our customers share all our views. We support and honor diversity. Our goal is to build your dream bike. We will only interfere when our experience tells us you're heading down the wrong path, or attempting to get one frame down two paths at the same time.

A Passion For Cycling: Everyone actively involved in STEVENSON CUSTOM BIKES loves and rides bicycles. We care about building your bike because we know how important bikes are to us.

Materials and Workmanship: We use only the very best materials we can buy. Generally this means Henry James lugs and TrueTemper OX Gold tubing. We braze the lugs with 56% silver after filing the edges and points. Fancy handcut lugs are available on request. Non-lugged joints are fillet-brazed using nickel-silver brazing rod. All joints are hand filed and polished.
