Johnson Bicycles was started in 1995. When friends of mine would ask,"What do you do for a living?" I would reply that I'm a welder. The next question was always, "Can you make me a frame?" After hearing this more than a few times I decided to act on it. I made a call to Henry James and invested in a frame jig.

After I TIG welded that first CYCLO CROSS frame that really got the ball rolling. I've since made lugged and fillet brazed ROAD frames, and welded a few MOUNTAIN bike frames both hard tail and full suspension using the SOFTRIDE beam. I have also sold COMPLETE BIKES using a wide variety of parts kits available. All framesets are painted by Ed Litton in almost any color or arrangement that you can think of.

Cycling, as you know is an expensive sport, so I try to accommodate people by offering a high quality product at a reasonable price. Johnson Bicycles framesets are priced from $775.-$1000. depending on the method used to join the tubes and the number of colors in the paint job. If you do race and have some results and a good attitude the price can become negotiable.

Most framesets are completed in 4-6 weeks depending on my work load.
